Board Policies

  • Footspa Sanitation: The Board has approved the use of EPA registered hospital grade disinfectants for use in the sanitation procedures for footspas.
  • When using FDA rated devices licensees must maintain specification sheets and the intended use statement for inspector review. If the device is rated class 2 the licensee must provide the name, license number, and contact information for the supervising physician at the time of inspection.
  • Board Inspectors must have access to all parts of the salon, including occupied treatment rooms during an inspection. Failure to allow inspection could result in civil penalty.
